I Hope

I hope for more love, more joy and laughter
I hope we'll have more than we'll ever need
I hope we'll have more happy ever afters
I hope we can all live more fearlessly
And we can lose all the pain and misery
I hope
I hope

Cooler (and more boring...) By A Mile

I am currently in beautiful Avalon, NJ for my last vaca before my much-anticipated return to the Burg. As you can see from my exerpt into the Avalon slogan, I am finding it difficult to keep myself entertained. No one I know is down this week, and my family is perfectly content sitting around doing nothing (parents), playing video games (Matt), or off with their multiple friends that are down (Katie). And me, I am forced to fend for myself. I am working on my tan, catching up on some reading (The Hours is so slow, but I will make it through :-P), and just relaxing before this crazy year begins. And as much as all that is great, I crave activity. I need something concrete to be planned out in my day. Eh, well, I shouldn't complain. I could be working for another week. Perspective, people. Its all ya need sometimes.

I will be back home from the shore on Saturday, and plan on leaving for WM on Monday. So, Main Liners, let me know if you want to see me before I go. This weekend will be busy, so make some plans asap! And WMers, GET EXCITED. This is going to be one helluva year!

PS. Main Liners: Quartermania @ Devon Lanes on Sunday night! Be there if you wanna say goodbye! Get in touch w/ me if you have questions.

Hot Pocket!

You need to see this movie. This man is a comedic genious!

I think I cried when Bill's friend, Emily, showed me this.

Well, thats all I wanted to say for the moment. There hasn't been any earth-shattering events in the past 24 hours. I saw Bill (finally) again last night and we caught up and just chilled and listened to music. Then I met some of his friends at Shanahan's Evita call-backs (seriously, copycats!!!), which was awesome. Saw MK too, which was nice. Girl knows how to give a hug! I'm off to a pool-party w/ some Summer Stagers tonight, which should be nice. If you plan on seeing me before I go back to school, you NEED to let me know! And if you are from school, I CAN'T WAIT to see you again. ok, thats really all.

Ready for WM / Awkward "fill-you-in on life"

Is it time to go back to school yet?????

Seriously, I can not WAIT to get back. I know, once classes start, and the exhausting and work pick up, my story may change slightly; I just am sooo ready to be back, moving into the house, catching up w/ people that I have so sorely missed, and just enjoying the campus again.

This year is going to be so different from last year, but in a good way. Living off campus and having a car will create so much new possibilities, and I can't wait to explore them. And I have missed some people so much, I can't even say. This year is going to rock beyond belief!

I finish work at the law firm on Friday, and head down the shore (Avalon, NJ!!!) the next day for the last hurrah of my summer. Then, WM here I come!

Anyways, whats been going on? I have been working every weekday at Connor, Weber & Oberlies, where I interned last year. They kept me around, and I continue to work there during my summer and winter breaks. I usually leave work between 3 and 5, depending on how much they need me. I come home, and rush to find plans before its too late. Maybe not the best way to ensure I have something to do, but I live for spontaneity.

Now, I'm off to play tennis w/ my uncle and cousin, then to hang out w/ Bill (who finally decided to call me back) later this evening. Yay for plans.

ps. I apologize for the awkwardness of this post, and for a few to come. Eventually, I will fall into a pattern, and it will be easier to navigate, but I am just eager to start posting. It will become smoother ... eventually. ;-)

Over and out.

Well, hello there...

So, in an attempt to revitalize my Xanga, I have decided to can it all together, and start one of these. They're all the rage, it seems. We'll see. With the Xanga, I would update every week, which became every other week, then every month...well, I haven't updated in a few months. And so, instead of having to try to catch everyone up on what has been going on, I am starting anew. I intend to hopefully update quite often. I won't make exact promises, but I will do my best. Hopefully at least a few a week. We shall see. I don't know that anything groundbreaking (or all that interesting to be honest) will be posted her, just my daily happenings and musings, a few reviews here, rants there. I just think that I want to catalog such a momentous time in my life, and to keep you, my readers, up to speed. So, here goes!
